Z Route Redemption Decorations Guide: Why Decorations Matter

Decorations in Z Route Redemption are not just for looks. Every decoration you own and level up adds flat ATK, DEF and HP to all of your heroes at once, in every faction. On our test account, decorations give each hero more than twice the HP of a level 28 Training Center.

If you have been ignoring the Decoration Gallery, this guide shows you what you are missing and where to start.

Quick answer

Question Answer
Who gets the bonus? Every hero, all factions, all squads
What stats? Hero ATK, DEF, HP, plus a few with Crit Damage or economy bonuses
Where does it show? Hero Details, inside “Building Bonus”
How big is it? On our account: +88,560 HP, +3,343 ATK, +525 DEF per hero
Is it worth it? Yes. It is one of the few boosts that helps your whole roster at the same time

What decorations do

Open the Decoration Gallery from your base. The Overview tab shows your Decoration Power and a list called “Decoration Bonus Details”. That list is the total of every decoration you own. On our account it looks like this (verified in-game):

Decoration Bonus Total
Hero HP +88,560
Hero ATK +3,343
Hero DEF +525
Crit Damage +0.25%
Building Speed +10%
Chests Found 20
Mystery Boxes for Special Ops +5
Special Ops Deployment Queue 3

The hero stats are added to every hero you own. The economy bonuses (building speed, chests, Special Ops) help your account in general.

Proof: where decorations show up in your hero stats

Tap the row of numbers under any hero’s power (ATK, DEF, Lv, HP, Command) to open Hero Details. You will see a line called “Building Bonus”. That line is made of two things:

  • Your Special Training Center for that hero’s faction
  • Your Decoration Gallery total, which is the same for every hero

We checked this on two heroes from different factions. The numbers match exactly (verified in-game):

Hero Building Bonus HP Training Center HP Decorations HP
Monroe (UR Warrior) 128,579 40,019 (Warrior TC Lv.28) 88,560
Victor (UR Assault) 108,576 20,016 (Assault TC Lv.20) 88,560

The same works for ATK (Monroe: 670.7 from the Training Center + 3,343 from decorations = 4,014) and DEF (134.3 + 525 = 659).

Why decorations are so important

1. They help every hero at once

Stars, skills and gear only help one hero. Tech and Training Centers only help one faction. Decorations help your whole roster, including heroes you just pulled. That makes them one of the most efficient ways to raise total power.

2. They are bigger than you think

Here is how the decoration HP compares with other sources on real heroes (verified in-game):

Hero Total HP Star Bonus HP Gear Bonus HP Decorations HP
Monroe (5★, Lv.140) 1,240,138 132,492 177,038 88,560
Leah (4★, Lv.140) 1,068,994 93,225 57,600 88,560
Victor (2★, Lv.102) 721,430 43,104 12,800 88,560

For Leah, decorations give more HP than her gear. For Victor, decorations give twice the HP of his stars and almost 7 times his gear. For newer or backup heroes, decorations are often one of their biggest stat sources.

3. They help new squads right away

When you start building a second or third squad, those heroes usually have low stars and weak gear. Decorations give them the full bonus from day one, so your backup squads are less fragile.

4. Some decorations also help your economy

Tesla Tower gives Building Speed, Ra3 gives more chests, and the Merit Special Vehicle adds Special Ops boxes and an extra deployment queue. These save time every day.

The statues come in three sets that match the factions: Lion (Warrior), Wolf (Assault) and Eagle (Tactical), each in Gold, Silver and Bronze. The Lion statues give HP, the Wolf statues give DEF and the Eagle statues give ATK.

The big ones you can still get

Some decorations shown at level 5 in the gallery give very large bonuses. We don’t own these yet, so these are the in-game preview values:

Decoration Bonus at Lv.5
Radiation Shelter HP 55,000, ATK 1,309, DEF 261
Golden Hank Statue HP 55,000, ATK 1,309, DEF 261
Skyguard HP 55,000, DEF 131
Wasteland Falcon ATK 1,964
Winter Reindeer HP 16,000
Air-Ground Support HP 16,000

One Radiation Shelter at level 5 gives more HP than half of our whole current decoration total. If one of these shows up in an event or pack you were already planning to buy, it is a strong pick.

Which decorations to level first

  1. Cheap level-ups with big jumps. Many decorations double their bonus at the next level (Gold Lion Statue 15,000 → 30,000 HP, Golden Hoof 357 → 714 ATK). Check the “now → next” value on each one and start with the biggest jump.
  2. HP first if your squad dies early. HP decorations have the largest raw numbers and help both your front and back rows survive longer.
  3. ATK next if you win fights too slowly. Eagle statues, Golden Hoof and Triumphal Arch are the main ATK sources.
  4. Statue of Liberty for crit. It is the only decoration we have seen with Crit Damage.
  5. Economy decorations when your builds are slow. Tesla Tower’s Building Speed stacks with VIP and other speed bonuses.

Common mistakes

  • Thinking decorations are cosmetic. They add real hero stats. Check Hero Details if you don’t believe it.
  • Spending only on your main squad. Stars and gear on one hero don’t help your other squads. Decorations do.
  • Leaving decorations at level 1 or 2. The biggest gains are often in the first few levels, where many bonuses double.
  • Mixing up decorations and outfits. Base skins, avatar frames and effects are outfits. They give % bonuses and appear as “Outfit” in Hero Details. Decorations are placed in your base and give flat numbers under “Building Bonus”. You want both.

FAQ

Do decorations work for all factions?

Yes. Our Warrior hero Monroe and our Assault hero Victor both get exactly +88,560 HP from decorations. The gallery total is shared by every hero.

Where can I see my decoration bonus?

Open the Decoration Gallery and go to the Overview tab. Or open any hero, tap the stats row under their power, and look at “Building Bonus” in Hero Details.

Do decorations increase my power?

Yes. The gallery has its own Decoration Power (ours is 2,914,565), and the stats they give to heroes also raise each hero’s power.

Are decorations better than the Training Center?

They do different jobs. The Training Center only helps one faction, but gives Command too. Decorations help every hero. On our account decorations give more than twice the HP of the Warrior Training Center at level 28. Upgrade both.

Should free players invest in decorations?

Yes. Because the bonus goes to every hero, each decoration level gives you more total value than most single-hero upgrades.
